The Kyung Hee Medical Center, a
mammoth 16 floor building, having a total floor
space of 73,615 square meters, is one of the largest
general hospitals in Korea. Its facilities are equipped
with ultramodern equipment and 2,000 beds are ample
enough for patient care, education and research,
as well as for solving public health problems.
A unique trait of this Medical Center lies in
the coexistence of Western and Oriental Medicines.
For an efficient and streamlined operation of
the hospital, the Medical Center introduced a
computer system for the first time in the history
of Korean general hospitals.
Academic activities have been extensive since
its foundation in 1971, as demonstrated by the
publication of more than 250 monographs every
year. With the assets of ultramodern medical equipment,
